"The Australian Rolling Open, initially conceptualized to fill the void left by the Aussie Titles, has proven itself to be greater than any of those involved in its planning could have hoped for.
From the gromms who came from all over Australia to the Pros who came from all over the world, fun was had by all in attendance.
The level of skating slowly grew throughout the day until we had an insane six man jam Pro final that has electrified the Australian scene. Much of this is thanks to the WRS and the vision and commitment to in-line skating that its members have.
The main goal of the ARO was to generate excitement in the Australian scene after an absence of regularly run competitions. The success of the day leaves no doubt in our minds of the events future, with plans already being developed to ensure these strong foundations are built on.
We know there are great skaters all over Australia and getting them all together in one place is hard to do, apart from the sick skating that goes down, the ARO is a great excuse for a catch-up.
Thanks to all that made it out. Hopefully we've given you enough reasons to come back next year."

Offroad skates? bush bashing? nah, this is my skates after the KB video shoot hahhaha. i had to land the trick on the mud for few number of times. hahhahhaa. I wont be skating anytime soon... though... kinda not in the mood at the moment. Plus my bearings is screwed hahahhaha.

Might skate again, if i have spare money to get new skates. This one is getting abit... old.. =p. I could spend as much as 400 to get it redone with new parts, new souls, new frames wheels n bearings... might as well get a new one, if im gonna spend that much. hahhahha.

Need somethin different than razors this time..hmm. Remz... hmmm

Update: i just checked rollernews.com...to see if theres any new skates coming(just then), my mind just changed just like that, i need new skates asap lol. bleh. >_<

Few weeks ago, I messaged by a friend of mine from Brunei, Eyan, from Surkrew.com that theyre having a proffesional videography, doing a project on extreme sports, Skating in Brunei. Here's a glimpse of David Cheok's Adrenaline Project preview.

Here's the Second Trailer, it shows some bits from the firs video session, at te Jerudong Park -Mini Half-pipes.

On that day of the shooting... The actual meet was ment to be at 6.30am and i was adviced to get there at that time =p, but funnily i was the second skating that came there lol the rest were kinda still asleep lol. Neways, the ramp was obviously wet and soaked from the day before.. it was raining... For your information, it rains alot here in Brunei, if it doesnt rain, it gets pretty hot + humidity. Took us about an hour or more to clean it all up... and then after 30mins, 5mins within the shoot. Rain went down, hahhahaha... -_-... but luckily it was only light. So the recording begins. etc etc.

It was awesume like always! eh eh eh... but i never seem to land any of the air tricks just as yet, i kept either over rotating or just going over thee landing etc etc and its leaving me these skin burns from the mat hahahha. Its all good fun though. Ill compile an edit and upload the videos over this weekend if im free hehe.

Finally a skate video from me, eh eh eh. All the videos are taken from Melbourne's Epping & Riverside Skatepark, and the new indoor Rampfest Skatepark. Ill make another edit for Rampfest, since i was too busy testing the new skatepark out. hahhahah. It was awesume! Ill be skating every Thursday night there.

omfg hahhahha. The skatepark is fully sick!~ Im gonna take some better videos and photos next time. The one i took yesterday, was too blurry plus i started taking it the last 5mins before it closes.

I spent most of the time on the jump box and the foam pit hahhaha. it was wicked! i didnt land much, cuz i was trying to maximise the spining and flipping part hahhaha. Just like on a diving board.

I just realised that i havent skated since 25th July, which was when they had that splendid tour at riverside. BUT damn!!! Thats 2 months!!! HOly! ahem... hmmm... Well atleast ill be skating soon. This Thursday arvo to be exact. Its the first session finally for inline skaters at this new wooden park. eh eh eh. So expect some updates over the weekend.

From my last month's post, Heres some update pictures on it(taken from emesce forums). If u cant recall about it, well this is a new indoor skatepark being built in Melbourne. I would rate this ramp 4/10 since it was made for skateboarders. The copings were way to flat, u have to bend quiet abit, if not ull just slip off it. Length and width is ok'ish still skatable... if only it was longer though wouldve been good enough. p.s. the picture links is kinda screwed cuz of picasa bleh..

I just found this rail, when i had my exams last week. Its a 12 stair rail, abt 40degree angle. This rail reminds me of the pizza hut rail in brunei :P but better. It has the best run up, landing area and not just that, the area views is awesume. Its located near the conference centre, in the Menzies college. Theres few rails around there too... but u just have to be a lil bit tricky. Enjoy drooling hahaha..

Other than that, as u notice, there is a poll going on. Ill be getting new skates when i get my tax return which is half way next month, unless im that desperate ... hahhaha. Obviously everyone have their own preference, but plz do help with ure experience. Im looking for a medium weighted skates for both park and street. Razors atm is at the disadvantage, since its super light but then its good for grinding. Reasons why, i need a weighted skates? well i just want to land my park tricks properly hahhaha (corkscrew, bio). Ever since im on my Genesys i never seem to land them as easily as before. So atm, USD classic thrones(rachards) is the top on my list.

Today, im suppose to go to Frankston skatepark, for the skate meet. But the weather and my exam studies kinda stop me... they said its gonna be no rain... but what if the park is still wet hahahha. Theres no motivation...
